Situated at an altitude of 400 meters between Gamaksan Mountain and Seokgiam Peak, Myungam Well-being Town is nestled in the countryside and surrounded by mountains and streams. The town has eight traditional accommodations made of stone and red clay, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), Oriental medicine clinic, medicinal herb garden, weekend rural market, sports field, barbecue area, karaoke machine, restaurant, benches by the stream, pavilion, hiking trails, and mountain bike paths. This family-oriented well-being resort also provides hanbang (herbal medicine) treatments and a pine needle and sweat therapy. The Oriental medicine clinic was established by the city of Jecheon to offer treatments for visitors with atopy, geriatric diseases and chronic diseases.

    Cheongpung Land es un parque temático creado en 2002 cerca del lago Chungju en Cheongpung-myeon, de la ciudad de Jecheon, provincia de Chungcheongbuk-do.     El Museo de la Prehistoria Suyanggae presume de ser el sitio prehistórico más grande de Corea. El museo contiene una multitud de reliquias, especialmente herramientas de piedra, de la Edad de Piedra Tardía, y ha sido designado por la Unesco como Patrimonio de la Humanidad.     💡 Descripción general

    Este es el lugar donde se erigía el templo Cheongnyongsa, uno de los mayores de la época Goryeo. La leyenda dice que un día de primavera, un monje se refugió de la lluvia bajo un árbol. Allí, vio a dos dragones jugando con un cintamani (una joya que cumple los deseos), que cayó a tierra. Uno de los dragones voló hacia el cintamani y en su ascenso pasó por el monte Cheonggyesan. El dragón y el cintamani desaparecieron y la lluvia paró.

    Cerca del lugar se conservan los restos de la pagoda Jeonghyewonyungtap, que guarda la sarira del Preceptor Nacional Bogak Guksa, una linterna de piedra y la pagoda Jeonghyewonyungtap. Bajo la pagoda Jeonghyewonyungtap, hay un león grabado, por lo que es llamada Sajaseokdeung (linterna del león de piedra). Esta, junto con Ssangsajaseokdeung (linterna del león gemelo de piedra) del antiguo templo Hoeamsa de Yangju, en la provincia de Gyeonggi-do, son dos linternas representativas de la dinastía Joseon.

      Valle Seonyudong (선유구곡(선유동계곡))

      💡 Descripción general

      Se trata de un valle de entre 1 y 2 kilómetros de largo, ubicado en el sector nororiental del condado de Song-myeon, en el distrito de Goesan-gun. Incluyendo Seonyudongmun (el patio de juegos de los dioses de la montaña), el área comprende nueve valles, que son: Gyeongcheonbyeok, Haksoam, Yeondallo, Waryongpok, Nangadae, Gigugam, Guam y Eunseonam.

      El valle Seonyudong es famoso por la leyenda que dice que los dioses venían a bañarse en el agua fresca de manantial de montaña. Un registro geográfico llamado Taekniji, publicado en 1751, ya destacaba a este lugar como un sitio de gran belleza. Lee Hwang, uno de los eruditos más renombrados de la era Joseon, pasó nueve meses en este valle y dio nombre a algunos de sus espacios más emblemáticos.

        Seokmun (석문)

        💡 Descripción general

        Doscientos metros río arriba desde los Picos Dodamsambong se encuentra una enorme puerta de piedra con la forma de arco iris en la margen izquierda del río. Esta piedra peculiar es llamada Seokmun (Puerta de Piedra). Con su impresionante vista, Seokmun es la segunda de la lista de Ocho Maravillas Escénicas de Danyang. Hacia la izquierda de la puerta se encuentra una cueva. Dentro de ella está Okdap (Campo de Piedra), que se cree que ha sido cultivado por una vieja hechicera. La leyenda de Okdap dice que una hechicera que vivía en el Cielo vino a la tierra para tomar agua y se le cayó su hebilla para el cabello, justo al lado de la Puerta de Piedra. Ella buscó la hebilla, pero se quedó muy impresionada por las magníficas vistas. Dejó el Cielo y se mudó cerca de la Puerta de Piedra como una campesina ordinaria el resto de su vida.
